Royce Lewis was raised in Akron, Ohio where he graduated from Buchtel High School. After High School, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed overseas in England and Greece. Mr. Lewis returned to the United States, then attended and graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park with a B.S. in Accounting. Mr. Lewis has spent the last 25 years working in commercial real estate, where he has lived or worked in Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; Las Vegas, NV, Los Angeles, CA; Newark, NJ; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC and he now resides in New Castle, DE.
Mr. Lewis has always had a passion for giving back. He has worked as a mentor, participated in cultural diversity programs in commercial real estate, as well as recently working on a diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) committee. Mr. Lewis currently feels that creating economic empowerment programs for urban youth is needed now more than ever and he believes children need to be shown the possibilities in the middle of life’s challenges. They need to be exposed to opportunities and know that the opportunities include them also. They need to be encouraged for greatness, know their value and their worth. The ROYCE Cares Foundation seeks to invest in, and partner with organizations in urban America that can fill this need.
“You must know who they are, where they are and where they can go”
